I know this is years after it was recorded but you both did an awesome job interpreting these beautiful pieces. They are so difficult: Sophia, you meet each of the technical hurdles with well-crafted skill and share the texts with heart and understanding; Grant, you truly make the most of each musical gesture and dynamic. Great job, both of you. I hope you have gone to onto your careers with much deserved success!

I love the humor and panache in the Fugue. It's conversational in feel and the timing is very funny.

Wonderfully performed, ahhh very beautiful indeed. So often overpowered and "noisy" both on record and live, but here the quintet is kept within the realm of true chamber music. Within, without limits! Less is more, as always. A treasure performance, the ensemble shall be very proud of their hard work to reach this level.

This is an attractive and instructive performance. It demonstrates the difference beween timing and tempo. The former is wonderful, the latter needing attention. The pianist has musicality and communication with both the music and the audience. I wish you would come to Berlin and perform here to an audience that will receptive to your unique playing !

To the person who makes a special appearance at 10:45: "The occasional concertgoer seems determined to be the very first to applaud or shout “bravo!” at the end. It’s especially jarring after a quiet ending. Don’t be that person." -- Scott Cantrell, music critic at the Dallas Morning News (Jan 12, 2024)
